Lancia Delta Integrale, Maggiora in Milano. Only 3620 coupes were made with just under 1000 cars built in 3.0L guise. 3 former keepers. Finished in Lancia Blu Energie Metallic and Ghiaccio Alcantara trim with recaro front seats. The body of the car is in very good shape and you would never guess the car has covered 180k miles. The is no evidence of any rust, no dents and the paintwork has a lovely deep shine. The are a few light stone chips to the front and the odd tiny mark but overall very good. The car has always been maintained to the highest standards and comes with an excellent service history, all the owners books and it has all the spare keys including the red coding key and all tools. The engine runs very smoothly and provides plenty of performance if required. This car has a fantastic interior with very comfortable Alcantara Recaro seats, none of the trim has been damaged and the wood is in perfect condition, the drivers bolster has worn through but would be an easy repair for a trimmer. Everything works as it should and the car is fitted with a very expensive Blaupunkt navigation radio with CD. The alloys are in good condition with only a few light curb marks and all of the tyres have plenty of tread. Chassis# 820211003518 Fresh MOT and Tax. . | Bodywork & Exterior trim: Original Lancia Blue paint is generally in good condition for a year, most probably has been touched up over the years but to good standard. As you can see from the pictures it is very presentable but on closer inspection there are a few flat spots where overpolishing has worn the paint. There are also a couple of small bubbles, one on a top front wing and a few at the bottoms of the front doors. Unfortunately I found it impossible to capture them with the camera.The subframe is in superb condition and so are the mounts. Other than those spots there is no rust to be found anywhere. Most of the chrome trim and bumpers are stainless therefore very well preserved and look pretty much faultless. All the window and door rubber is in good condition and there are no interior leaks. Underneath it`s all solid and the car has been professionally waxoyled throughout. | Engine & Gearbox: Solex 36ICH carbureted 2L flat fou
boxer Flavia engine keeps very good oil pressure (including at idle) is smooth and returns 30mpg. Religiously serviced, just had a recent service and a tune up. Carburettor has been completely rebuilt, ultrasonically cleaned, all gaskets and membranes changed, several parts replaced all tuned as per manual. 4 Speed gearbox has a smooth change even when cold, recent oil change and properly adjusted clutch. Power steering works well and the steering fluid has been recently changed and filter cleaned. Cooling system is in good condition with automatic electric fan operating correctly, never overheats even in heavy traffic. | Chassis & Brakes: Original Dunlop disc brakes front and back. Recent brand new discs and calipers and a fresh servo and master cylinder rebuild. Cream painted steel wheels are fitted with new Avon tyres. Recent replaced shock absorbers and some suspension bushes. | Interior & Electrics: Everything works as it should, including all the instruments and even the dash clock keeps perfect time. Overall the interior is fantastically preserved, the seats have no rips or unusual wear, headlining is nice, carpets are very good. The dash is in incredible condition, real wood is like new, all knobs and levers are perfect. All the ventilation and heating work as they should. | It truly is a well preserved gem in a time-warp condition with original Italian paperwork (one owner from new), lots of quirky original touches like original Italian first aid kit, little stick on badge of a Rallye Lancia Bolognia, original stereo, original optional rear window curtains. | It is in my opinion one of the best Lancias I have ever owned and the best kept secret in Lancia world. since 1982 and spent its working life with one owner. I am the third owner and and it has only covered a few miles with me (less than 100) and all other miles with the first owner (the second had kept it to restore, but never did).Work doneThe car has been bare-metal restored with all rust being treated/removed. The paint is the original colour (not acrylic as original) and all the panels are original with the exception on the bonnet which is an original 1977 Lancia series-1 bonnet (removed it from the donor car myself!). The leather interior has been repaired and is original up to the cassette player. The bumpers have been repaired or replaced but might need to be done again for concours. The engine was serviced before it was stored in 1982 but we have had the head off again and rebuilt it with new seals/gaskets as a precaution. New tensioner, belt etc. The gear linkange has been re-bushed and the brake calipers, master cylinder has been replaced with original period parts. low mileage Lancia`s. Series 2 Gamma Coupe`s came with refinements and detailing improvements though sales were not high worldwide. The majority suffered with corrosion and so they are scarce in such well preserved condition. This vehcile is featured in the September 2011 issue of Classic & Sportcar Magazine page 126 - 133. The editor was very complimentary about this car - no scuttle shake and no need for anxiety over the power steering belts - he figured that this made this a somewhat unique and very attractive vehicle on the strength of this alone. I do not know if this car has been strengthened or modified to overcome the common scuttle shake characteristic of this model but I can vouch that this is not a feature of this particular vehicle. `Auto Italia` magazine November 2011 issue features a test feature called `The last real Lancia?` (pages 44 - 49). This vehicle is featured as the Series 2 Coupe representative. Simon Park (ex sports and motor racing test driver) was the tester on the day and put all cars heavily through their paces. He commented on the day that this car felt tightest and most nimble for sports driving. This is an excellent example of a rare and highly attractive Pininfarina designed coupe. I have covered some long distances with no mechanical or performance issues whatsoever. It has recently benefited from a new front wheel hub, brakes overhaul, radiator thermostat and new centre wheel badges (supplied from Italy) for the otherwise superb, well preserved original alloy wheels. The paintwork is very good but there are a few very minor flaws - pin head micro blisters at the top end of the bonnet for example - you will only see these if applying high gloss polish and viewing from an accute angle. There is also a small blister at the foot of the n/s sill (the size of a 50 pence coin) and on the very bottom corner of the passenger door (the size of a 1 pence coin) - I have been able to capture this with a photo but anything else is so minor that I cannot pick it up with the camera. In general the car looks excellent. Both optional extra electric door mirrors operate well, as do both electric windows. The ariel on the rear n/s wing needs to be replaced. The original window sticker is still in the rear window of the car and I have original Warranty booklet, Lancia anti corossion 6 Year Guarantee booklet and Coupe Instruction Book. Most significantly this vehicle has been fitted with an auxillary power steering unit which runs independently of the engine. The Achilles Heel of this sporty flat-4 fuel injected 2,500cc engine was the original power steering driven directly from the engine belts. This was prone on full steering lock to place too much strain on the belt and so caused some expensive repair bills for Lancia under warranty in those early days. According to the Lancia Gamma Consortium, the solution fitted to my car is somewhat unique and appears to be a highly effective solution, providing total peace of mind. The original supplier key ring is still with the key and I have a spare set also. The interior is consistent with the very low mileage and looks particularly attractive in the period dark blue `L-Cloth` finish. The design of the front seats means that a sharp component within the seat pushes through and makes a very small hole on the outer base pad on both front seats. Interior seats and carpets are otherwise superb. There is a stamped service book showing servicing at correct intervals in the first ten yers - a couple at H.R. Owen in London. A gap after 2000 would suggest that between 2000 - 2008 the vehicle was in storage before being placed in a private collection of very important low mileage Lancia in Scotland. The collection is owned by a famous Scottish Artist. I can take extra pictures upon request but encourage viewing. After all, this is an Italian car that is nearly 30 years old. If you know these cars you`ll appreciate the modification of the steering and just what a nice example this is. It is also sporting an attractive original registration number. Redundancy and a new baby just 4 weeks ago forces a switch in priorities for me and so time for the Lancia to go. It owes me much more money than I am advertising it for.
