remains in very good condition. It just passed its MOT first time with only one advisory (`No rubber on the clutch pedal`), and I have just taxed it for 12 months - so this car is good to go for the summer. Look on the Howmanyleft website to see how few of these there are around. Car is located near Hungerford. The good points on this car are as follows: Bodywork in good condition all over, painted in beautiful Montecarlo Red Engine rebuild by Allitalia Wrexham 5 years ago Twin Dellorto 40 carbs which make a great noise Guy Croft manifold - custom exhaust manifold with exhaust system from a Lotus Elise Upgraded Tarox grooved brake discs New Compomotive alloy wheels with good/barely used tyres Cobra bucket seats Attractive 4 headlight arrangement, and California wing mirrors The bad bits are as follows: The interior isn`t original but has been recarpeted The paintwork looks good but on close inspection isn`t perfect. There is some peeling in the engine bay - see picture The choke is not rigged up but can be operated manually if need be - not typically required No stereo All in all this car is not perfect, and its not altogether standard - but it looks fantastic and attracts a lot of attention. I have only owned the car since October of last year, and really love it. The reason I`m selling is that I want to buy a camper which is a bit more family ortientated. issue of AutoItalia Magazine. Only 41,500m. Full MOT and tax.A much-loved car with unique and special provenance. This Montecarlo was owned by Lancia UK and used by Motor Sport Magazine for a 900mile test feature. It then became part of the collection that belonged to Motorcycle legend Geoff Monty and as such shared a dehumidified garage with a Ferrari 246 Dino for 22years. Used sparingly until bought by me in April 2010 and subjected to extensive recommissioning. No corners cut. Everything replaced. All work done by Italian car specialist. Way too much to list but included the following: all new bushes including gear linkage and shaft, cables, rebuilt carb, new clutch, clutch master cylinder and clutch slave cylinder. Cambelt and tensioner changed, fan belt replaced and hoses changed. All new Tarox brakes including hoses, discs and pads. New wheel bearings. Indicator relay upgrade. 4 new tyres, etc etc.Then after a year of reliable use the car was taken off the road in 2011 and the body work was given the TLC it deserved. Car was already in good overall condition (Here she is prior to going to the body shop -http://www.influx.co.uk/wordpress/features/montecarlo-or-bust/ ) Was taken to show winning restoration workshop. The couple of small areas where bubbling had occurred had new metal let in to an amazing standard. All bodywork photographed before and after. Original underseal stripped away, the car was fully prepped and re-sprayed in the original metallic Azzurro blue to an outstanding standard and baked. (55 hrs work with paint guy). Car is factory standard (apart from a CSC Primaflow exhaust system) and rebuild included new headlamps (Lancia new old stock). Comes with all history, receipts, photos, original owners instruction book and original Montecarlo workshop manual complete with parts microfische inside. Also copy of 1981 Motor Sport Magazine featuring road-test. Fitted car cover, always garaged. Completely reliable, I wouldn’t hesitate to drive this amazing car anywhere in the UK. Just back from 10hr round trip to have the car photographed for AutoItalia magazine. Serviced annually and ready to enjoy.This is a special car and I would like to see it go to a good home.
