its now time to move this project along to help provide the money to travel to the games with. The car underneath is a partially restored Series 1 Lancia Beta Monte Carlo with a 2L Lancia Beta Engine. I do have the V5 and all the other documentation for the car.Originally the 037 bodykit was £3000, and I`m not sure these kits are still under production so this kit is one of only a few that can be aquired, and with this auctions low starting price it could represent a bargain for someone with the time and money to finish this project. The project is rolling, although it will need a trailer to be taken away with. As such I must ask that bidders are from the UK and that the winning bidder comes and collects the project in good time after the auction. I`m afraid I don`t have the time or resources to transport the project to another country. I am prepared to split the body kit and sell it separetely, as it does fit easily into a long wheelbase van which may be easier to transport for the winning bidder. I would suggest that the car is worth £200 in its current state, so I`m happy to accept the option of someone winning this auction and then leaving the car behind for a £200 discount.However, again, I must ask that the winning bidder be prepared to come and collect the kit and/or car.Payment is via paypal, cash on collection, bankers draft, or cheque. renovation and hasn`t run since the late 1980`s, I`ve had the car since 1990 when I bought it as a barn find and the Lancia Owners Club were very excited when it resurfaced!! I`ve collected a few bits over the years, spare doors and boot lid in pretty good condition, also bits and bobs such as a spare set of wheel trims and spare glass. The car is pretty much complete and all glass (including windscreen) is in good condition, as are the lights. hand drive and on british plates it makes it highly desirable if you have a property abroad and can take it there and leave it for use on your hols or whatever.Can think of nothing more agreeable with your new neighbours than punting round the village in something like this...a practical left hand drive classic.Came to me from its one italian lady owner who imported it in 2005 having bought it new in 1991.Have to say that given its ownership and having lived in Italy and central London all its life it is in remarkable condition.There are no major dents anywhere .Obviously its a 20 year old car so it aint showroom but it is very pretty and presentable.Paint is all the same color and lacquer is of good quality.Its also Italian, but the usual rust issues are not to be found here .Got under the car during the MOT and was pleasantly surprised to see how solid she was underneath with no welding apparent.There is some bubbling here and there but its only cosmetic. Also spotted recent exhaust(still with labels on) and good set of tyres.Drives well for what it is and is reasonably nippy with a 5 speed box and "Fire" fuel injected engine...same as the Uno of course so parts not an issue.Indeed have just replaced the cam belt driven water pump assembly...cost 30 quid for the bits and took me an hour..dead simple technology.Inside is well,worn,i guess.Photos give a good indication of the seat wear but its only really the drivers side thats an issue.Trimmed in Alacantra you know which made it a bit special back in the day.You do get a few niceties like a concealed stereo and electric windows.
